It refines King IV into 13 principles, keeps the 'apply and explain' model, and adds a standard Disclosure Framework. King V is a voluntary code, but JSE-listed companies must report against it through the Listings Requirements. The Code, the Foundational Concepts, the Glossary and the Disclosure Framework are separate documents.
